Meet Elle-Shoko Ota

 

OKOHZ Design Group is founded by Multi-award-winning designer Elle-Shoko Ota 20 years ago.

Elle-Shoko Ota, director, and designer of OKOHZ Design Group was born in Japan where she studied Japanese Architectural, Interior Design, Art, and Antiques. She also took a Fashion Co-ordination course at the London Academy of Modeling and successfully received her Diploma.

Her interest in design grew out of her visual aesthetic training. Her education continued with Decorating Den University, New York School of Interiors, UCLA Extension, and Sheffield School of Interior.

She has designed and decorated many residences, model homes, and commercial projects such as NY Plaza Hotel Presidential Suites.

Her Rodeo Drive Chapel design was recognized in LA Times in 2001 with a two-page article.

She was one of 27 designers who were selected out of over 750 applicants to renovate the “RUSSEL L. POGUE ESTATE” built by Charles Toberman in Hollywood Hills. Some of Toberman’s landmarks include the Chinese Theatre, the Egyptian Theatre, and the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

She is an expert in creating Japanese Style spaces in Western Style homes.
